A Life More Fabulous
Amp up the fabulous factor in your life by doing more of the things you love and less of the things you don’t.
Firstly, free up some time. This may require checking your psychology. Be very honest and see whether you are creating unnecessary busyness perhaps to feel validated, because you feel you should or because leisure time makes you feel guilty. Believe it or not we also keep ourselves busy and distracted to escape living up to our potential and becoming fabulous.
Once you have dealt with your psyche, get ready to redesign your daily life. Streamline all your mundane tasks into simple and efficient systems. This might include shopping, laundry, errands, paperwork, email, communication, filing etc. See which tasks can be automated, delegated or eliminated. Shop and bank online, use couriers for errands, avoid traffic, take advantage of deliveries; simplify and streamline.
As Jessie Sampter says,
“Simplicity is the peak of civilization.”
Then spend time working out what is important to you and what you really love or would like to do. Make a short concise list. Double check your feelings about actually doing those things and see if they really are what you want. The next step is to believe you deserve a life more fabulous and you have, or can get, the resources you need to execute your dreams and wishes. Because losing focus is easy when the dramas of daily life keep getting in the way, elect to make one day a week a ‘simplicity day’. On this day keep closely connected to those important things and reinforce your journey towards them.
