A CPD WORKSHOP FOR CLINICAL, COUNSELLING, EDUCATIONAL AND INDUSTRIAL PSYCHOLOGISTS, REGISTERED COUNSELLORS, PSYCHOMETRISTS AND OTHER ALLIED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.
Stress is an undeniable part of our modern life. How stress impacts our body and our mind is fast becoming one of the most talked about health topics. In clinical practice stress can be a consequence of the mental illness a client is presenting with or it can be a contributing factor. Either way it is crucial for practitioners and clients to better understand stress in order to adequately treat it. Understanding stress also involves understanding some of the chronic responses to stress, such as burnout and adrenal fatigue.
This workshop aims to present practitioners with a relevant understanding of stress, burnout and adrenal fatigue. It will equip attendees with knowledge of symptoms, progression and treatment options. Finally the workshop will also address stress and burnout as experienced by clinicians in practice.
