Shrimath Excellence in Yoga offers Yoga in International

Shrimath Yoga was founded in 2011 with the vision to share the principles & processes from the ancient knowledge systems such as Veda, Tantra and Yoga in the traditional Gurukul way.

Shrimath strives to provide an integral view of Yoga that enables proper assimilation of Yoga processes, thereby facilitating each and every participant to experience physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual well being. Each course has its own blend of Yoga Processes & Philosophy.

The daily routine at Shrimath Yoga mirrors that of any traditionally run Ashrams. Apart from the sessions as per the need of the course, students are required to participate in activities that include, sharing lessons at rural school, assisting at the farm, periodic house keeping, helping at the kitchen etc., Such a routine enables to internalize the lessons and appreciate the holistic approach of the ancient Gurukul system!

With the guidance of living traditions, the courses attempt to strike a balance between 'doing more and diving deep!'

Till now students from 38 countries, namely, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Croatia, Czechoslovakia ,Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK & USA, have studied with us.

Since 2014, 'Shrimath Yoga' has been consistently top rated among 800+ properties in 'specialty lodging' category and is being awarded 'Certificate of Excellence' by trip advisor.

Self discovery

For me life was rippling along and then a sudden storm of change showed up and disrupted what little serenity I had left. Old enemies I thought were defeated like fear and insecurity returned, throwing me off kilter. My mind frantically tried to find a solution to fix the issues, the challenges, and the perceived problem, adding to my internal chaos. How do we stay calm, cool, and collected when we find the world around us has become chaotic and out of control? How do we learn to stare down any situation with inner peace and an ability to remain tranquil? One of the first things we can do when attempting to navigate a bumpy crossroads is build an inner place of peace. Taking time to cultivate a practice of quiet and learning to sit still for long enough to feel a sense of sacred space within. I found that step by step practice and the time to cement it into a daily routine at Shrimath. The knowledge acquired here changed dramatically how I operate in the world. I am eternally grateful for the knowledgeable staff, great food and Peaceful atmosphere. I would highly recommend Shrimath for anyone interested in furthering thier journey of self discovery

A very special place

Shrimath is a very special place and one I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about yoga (and life) in a truly authentic way. Contacting them just weeks before my trip to India, Krishna and Smrithi kindly welcomed me to join in all the classes taking place as part of the 200 hours course during my 5 day stay. I will be forever grateful... Though only there for a short time the full daily schedule made for such an enriching experience and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from such wonderfully inspiring teachers and fellow students. The accommodation is clean and comfortable set in a beautiful garden - the flowers, birdsong, sunrises and sunsets are all an absolute treat! The food is delicious and plentiful! And it was a privilege to meet some of the local people and work with the children at the school. Just an amazing experience all round and I really hope to return one day....and stay longer next time! If you get the chance to go to Shrimath (even just for a short while - they offer ‘Tiny Experiences’ for those wishing a shorter stay) go for it... it’s definitely worth a visit!

Excellent place for soulful learning and Yoga

I have attended a short course at Shrimath Yoga. I am very thankful to Krishna ji for providing great insight on different aspects of spirituality and Yoga. These few days were real stress buster and to add to that the place is also perfect for yogic practices. I definitely would like to visit again and reccomend to others.

21 Day Yoga Teacher Training

I completed my 21 Day/ 200 hour yoga teacher training experience on the 21st of July 2017; and it was nothing short of amazing. Krishna, Smirthi and Hema gave only from a place of passion and kindness. I thoroughly enjoyed discussing yoga processes and traditions with Krishna; who is happy to go deeper into any topic you are drawn to. Shmirthi and Shoba always made sure we were well fed and taken care of. Everything down to even the tea is delicious :). Hema patiently explains each yoga posture, you can feel the teaching comes from a place of understanding and devotion. Helping in the garden, kitchen, doing housework or sharing at the local school was such a special time of the day and such a great initiative. The pilgrimage was an insightful experience which ended my time at Shrimath perfectly. Reflecting on how my life has changed since and how I still receive lessons from my time at Shrimath, a whole year after my journey began, makes me realize that it is a place I will definitely return to for further study and enlightenment. Thank you for everything
