A healing space for honesty, recuperation, transition, authenticity and delight in being alive.
The Breathing Room is a space for honesty, recuperation, transition, authenticity and delight in being alive.
I am trained in Specialised Kinesiology, Systemic/Family Constellations, Ceremony, End of Life Care and Trauma Work as well as navigating Transitional Spaces.
If you are willing to explore the depth of your being and are keen to embrace change and growth, I will gladly support your effort in a safe, respectful and caring environment.
Sessions are offered in person as well as online, utilising applications such as Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp.
In our work together, I aim to balance body, mind, heart and essence towards the integration and unfolding of all your elements.
Knowing that we can live in good relation with ourselves, each other, the Earth and the Sacred – permeates my being and work.
My passion lies in uncovering the stories that the body holds or hides – as well as providing a safe environment for you to address all areas of concern.
In the space of loving presence and transparency, I reflect your innate capacity to heal back to you.
Kinesiology encourages optimal and harmonious function of body, mind, heart and soul – and can comfortably co-exist with conventional medical treatment.
I welcome people of all backgrounds and ages and have a ‘soft spot’ for children, youth or adults diagnosed with learning difficulties, behavioral impediments or suffering from depression or addiction.
I work with people after trauma or accidents, suffering from a variety of injuries or degrees of pain. I enjoy assisting people to move past behavioral patterns or emotional wounds which no longer serve them.
Women’s ‘issues’ also lie close to my heart, ranging from personal development to gently supporting survivors of abuse.
The Kinesiology methods I studied are based on the work of George Goodheart, Alan Beardall, John Thie, Andrew Verity and Dr. Carl Ferreri – amongst others.
Family and Systemic Constellations are a unique way of exploring relationship dynamics.
The purpose is to uncover the hidden dynamics in an experiential way, so that existing patterns can be observed, and tension or trauma in the system released or reduced.
This is a gentle and sensitive method of allowing family or relationship energy to reveal itself through representatives, so that steps towards a resolution can unfold.
It involves allowing each member of the system to find their rightful place, foster healthy and respectful connections to each other and enables the natural flow of respect and love in the system.
For this to happen, things need to be seen and acknowledged for what they are.
I offer individual and group constellations in private practice. I am interested in inner dynamics, outer energetics and how they correlate.
Family constellations is based on the work of Bert Hellinger and is constantly evolving further over time through the work of many others. I trained with African Constellations based in Cape Town, and Shamanic Constellations based in Brazil.
Life is full of moments worth cherishing. As a Celebrant we co-create rites, celebrations or rituals to honour and mark your milestones through joyful ceremonies.
A naming ceremony, adoption ceremony, renewal of vows, coming of age ceremony, home or land blessing, life transitions, a funeral, name changing celebration, a dissolution or separation ceremony, a commemoration and all other important occasions. Celebrate them! Whether in an intimate circle or a larger group. Make as many joyous memories as you can.
We will work closely together to ensure we create your vision in designing a memorable occasion. I will assist you in whatever way you feel is helpful.
We are informed and formed by the events in our life. Affirming and celebrating our unique journey is saying Yes to all that Life offers.
A revered approach to death care attends to our souls as well as our bodies and to the living as well as the dead. I would be honored to be invited into this space by you.
As an End of Life Companion, I offer compassionate guidance around transformative loss and death, as well as support with End of Life Celebrations.
This can include education and assistance with formalities like Advance Care Planning.
I provide non-medical support and counsel, both to people navigating transitional spaces like birth, marriage, divorce, sudden loss or terminal illness – as well as assisting those in the actual process of dying. I ease fears surrounding the transition and provide an anchor and comfort for those present.
Guided solely by the passing person’s wishes and needs, I fill the gaps – enabling a supportive and caring presence all around.
Together we co-create a safe space where emotional, mental and spiritual support is offered.
Advance Care Plan Consultant
An Advance Care Plan relieves loved ones from wondering if they “did the right thing” on your behalf. It is a Wish List of how you would like to spend your last years/months/weeks/days/moments.
It provides your health care team with information on your care preferences and if you would want life-sustaining measures if there appeares to be little or no likelihood of your recovery. The care plan documents your vision of your personal concerns as well as your thoughts around medical issues. Core questions to explore are:
What do you want to happen in the future? Who do you want to speak for you if you can’t speak for yourself?
The International Consensus Definition of Advance Care Planning states: “Advance care planning is a process that supports adults at any age or stage of health in understanding and sharing their personal values, life goals, and preferences regarding future medical care. The goal of advance care planning is to help ensure that people receive medical care that is consistent with their values, goals and preferences during serious and chronic illness. ’
No need to wait until we are old or ill. Contemplating our death adds quality to our life. It is an important step toward finding out how we would want to be cared for in the future and start getting more clarity what matters to us. A Living will can be done at any age and revised over time as we age.
