All Things Earthly

“As mothers, we feel an urgent responsibility to co-create a future in which our children and our planet can not only survive, but thrive. All Things Earthly is our mission.” -Diane & Talitha, Co-Founders

Introduction

All Things Earthly has two stores in Cape Town, one in Noordhoek and one in Kommetjie.

This unique brand offers customers clean, natural and locally grown produce; chemical- and preservative-free groceries; cruelty-free body care; and eco-household products. You’ll find organic fruit and veg, fresh bread, dry goods, organic dairy, pasture raised chicken and eggs, healthy snacks, natural body products, healthcare, lunchbox goods, gifts, recipes, books and so much more.

All Things Earthly first opened its doors on 7 July 2020, just after the first lockdown in South Africa. This whole-being store established itself within the local community in Noordhoek before expanding to Kommetjie in partnership with Neighbourhood Farm. The third store is in the pipeline.

What’s on Offer

With the store expansions, the offering will include a variety of organic and free-range fresh produce alongside on-shelf favourites. All Things Earthly caters to customers with a variety of dietary needs, such as organic, plant based, gluten free, keto, low carb, diabetic friendly and more…

Some of the customers’ favourites include a wide range of plant-based mylks, peanut butter cups, essential oils, free range eggs, superfoods and daily fruits and vegetables. Some familiar brand names can be found on-shelf, such as Soaring Free Superfoods, Pukka, Earthshine, Honest Chocolate, Outcast, and Wazoogles. You can also expect to explore new, local brands such as Manipura, Honeybuzz and Knosh foods. Each store also offers decadent, guilt-free treats from either Cravings Bakery or Thank Goodness to complement your shopping experience.

What truly makes them stand out is their attention to a personalized shopping experience which they provide each and every one of their customers. Diane and Talitha, co-founders of All Things Earthly, are dedicated to getting to know their customers on a personal level and enjoy discussing their individual needs and dietary requirements.

Responsible Sourcing / Buying

Diane and Talitha pride themselves on investigating each of their products, checking the ingredients and testing the items in their own homes, before offering them to their customers. This ensures that their customers are exposed to only the best choices in their store. They both follow clean and mindful eating including gluten free, refined sugar free whole food. Passionate about gut health, they aim to stock many fermented foods and supplements to complement overall health and wellness.

They are committed to responsible buying practices and aim to minimise food and packaging waste wherever possible. Diane and Talitha favour local brands with ethical practices who share their urgent earth mission of being kind to people and the environment. They feel that we all have a radical responsibility in our everyday choices.

This store is completely unique in that you will find no refined sugar, preservatives, colourants, MSG, GMO and artificial ingredients.

Collaboration with Neighbourhood Farm

All Things Earthly made the decision to collaborate with Neighbourhood Farm because the project deeply aligns with their values as a business and as individuals. They look forward to growing together to bring good food, healthy education and support to their community.

Neighbourhood Farm aims to provide the community with nutrient rich, organic, local and fresh produce every day. Justin Bonello, founder of Neighbourhood Farm, shares his excitement on the new collaboration: “We are thrilled to be going into this partnership. Our hope and dream has always been to collaborate with local, community-based entrepreneurs. Our partnership with All Things Earthly allows us to focus on our core mission of edible education”.

All Things Earthly now has the opportunity to grow its store footprint while contributing to a project that is close to their hearts. Once you have visited the store, met the team and experienced the atmosphere, you will understand just how special this little place is.

Diane and Talitha truly love what they do and feel strongly that they are able to contribute towards creating a healthier and more balanced world. It is this passion, love, and care that makes All Things Earthly so much more than a grocery store!
