Meditative Morning – Celebrating Pachamama

In Peru, the first day of August is celebrated as Pachamama Day.  It marks the start of a month of celebrating Mother Earth – during which rituals, despacho ceremonies and parades are done to show gratitude to Pachamama for the harvests she has given and what will be received from her in the new planting season. It is a month of anyi (sacred reciprocity) and honouring of Pachamama

We live in a world of Western colonial mindset – taking from the earth and dumping on her without any regard for the consequences.  This is an invitation to honour Mother Earth,  Pachamama, by making offerings to her – giving instead of taking.

In a quiet, meditative manner, come and create a mandala offering, a despacho of beauty in gratitude and in honour of Pachamama.

These mandala despachos will be created with leaves, petals, pods – what can be gathered in the garden, some traditional despacho contents (which Robyn will supply) and whatever you may wish to bring with you (entirely optional).  When complete, these despachos will be buried in the earth – as is the tradition for Earth Despachos.

Afterwards, we will have a slow lunch – enjoying the bounty Pachamama provides to nourish us.

Meditative Mornings

Meditative Mornings are held at Inner Peace Healing so that you can slow down, step out of the busyness of life and to move into a meditative creative space.  Weather permitting, they are held outdoors to connect to nature, allowing Nature to work its magic too.

The Meditative Morning is R300, including a light lunch.

About your facilitator

Robyn Fergus is a Suyo Alto Mesayoq in the Sacred Andean Tradition.  She feels a deep love the teachings from the Andes, and is initiated in that tradition to perform Despacho and Alconso ceremonies and healings.

Robyn opened her healing practice in 2010.  In addition to this work, she is also a Systemic Constellations and Family Constellations Facilitator and energy healer who intuitively blends various healing modalities (based on the healing needs of the client). She is a diviner offering divinations that originate from the Dagara tradition and the work of Malidoma Somé,
