1 tsp collagen powder (optional)
1/2 cup milk (choose almond or regular)
sweeten with stevia, maple syrup or honey

THE SUPERFOODS
Chicory Root targets gut issues like indigestion, leaky gut, acid reflux, constipation, heartburn and immunity. It contains the prebiotic inulin which means it feeds good gut bacteria. Chicory is also good for kidney support, reducing cancer risk and arthritic pain and has anti-anxiety and stress reducing qualities. Being high in nutritious vitamins and minerals, including zinc, magnesium, iron, folic acid, calcium, and Vitamin A, B6,C, E, and K means extra punch.
Dandelion Root is equally amazing and so easily accessible – you can probably find it growing wild in your garden. It helps with metabolising fat, levelling blood sugar and balancing hormones so it is great for weight issues. It’s fantastic for liver health and repairing bladder infections. Studies suggest dandelion root can reduce fatigue and lower cholesterol. It is a diuretic, which is good for cleansing although be aware, it makes you pee more.
Maca Root comes with sterling accolades, it commonly grows in the Andes mountains, and has a malt-like, sweet, earthy flavour. Some of its nutrient dense profile includes a super source of vitamin C, copper, iron, potassium, vitamin B6 and manganese. The flavonoids in Maca root can help reduce anxiety and depression. Maca root also improves learning, memory, energy, and endurance. It’s frequently used to help with fertility (for men and women), to balance hormones and improve libido.
Chaga Mushroom contains high levels of B-Vitamins, flavonoids, enzymes, minerals, and phenols. It has some of the highest known concentrations of antioxidants of any food, and helps keep inflammation in check. Chaga is a great ally in boosting immunity and is a rich source of Zinc, an essential nutrient for cell growth.
Ashwagandha is really effective for reducing anxiety, stress and relieving insomnia. Besides reducing cortisol (stress hormone) levels by up to 30%, it also balances blood sugar levels and targets inflammation. It is one of the Ayurvedic medicines that has been around for millennia and traditionally used to boost memory.
Collagen is a key building block used by the body and a protein that forms the structure of organs and connective tissue. Supplementing with collagen is said to improve the skin, teeth, hair and nails as well as the gut and joints. Many people experience noticeable changes quite rapidly with regular intake. It is made from connective tissue, cartilage or skin mostly from animal sources like beef, chicken or fish. Be mindful and use it from sustainable sources.
